Maloney to Host Resource Fair for Hudson Valley Seniors This Friday

Middletown, NY – On Friday, October 25th, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) and his Senior Advisory Board will host a resource fair for Hudson Valley seniors and caregivers. The event, held at the Mulberry House Senior Center in Middletown, will give seniors the opportunity to talk with the Congressman, community advocates, local vendors, and meet with Rep. Maloney’s talented caseworkers.

“One of my office’s most important duties is ensuring Hudson Valley seniors and caregivers have the resources they need in the golden years of their lives. I hope folks across the Hudson Valley join us in Middletown this Friday to get connected to whatever help or assistance they need and cut through government red tape,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.

In addition to Rep. Maloney’s casework staff, the resource fair will have booths from Social Security, Legal Services of Hudson Valley, Center of Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Comptroller’s Office, Taxpayer Advocate, Orange County Office for the Aging, RECAP,  Mulberry House, SAGEVets, Middletown Police Department, Consumer Affairs, Weights & Measures, United States Postal Service, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Ombudsman’s Office, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan County, WestCOP, Jewish Family Service, Cornerstone Family Health, Middletown Medical, Middletown BID, and the Attorney General’s Office.

Rep. Maloney’s office can help Hudson Valley seniors obtain the benefits they’ve earned and resolve issues with a federal agency. This includes assistance with: Medicare benefits, IRS questions, social security, veterans benefits and health care, federal worker’s compensation, Marketplace health care plans, immigration and passports, small business assistance, housing issues, and resources for visiting Washington, D.C.
