Maloney’s Statement on the Passing of Robert Morgenthau
WASHINGTON – Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) released the following statement on the passing of Robert Morgenthau, longtime Manhattan District Attorney and Hudson Valley legend:
“Robert Morgenthau will forever be known as a giant of our justice system. He was revered by colleagues and New Yorkers alike and worked every day to make our state safer and stronger.
“In addition to his lifelong dedication to his work, Robert was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and retired to the Morgenthau family’s legendary Fishkill Farms, right here in the Hudson Valley. I’ve enjoyed getting to know and work with the Morgenthau family, including Josh Morgenthau, who serves on my Agricultural Advisory Board.
“Randy and I extend our condolences to Lucinda, Robert’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy is not only his time as the District Attorney of New York, but also his fight to create a more just city for all people,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.
