Maloney’s Statement in Advance of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Appearance Before Congress

WASHINGTON – In advance of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s appearance before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence tomorrow, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) released the following statement:

“The sad fact is that the Mueller Report has been lost in the daily chaos of this Administration. Most Americans – including many of my colleagues – have no idea what’s in this report and why it matters.

“I look forward to hearing from Special Counsel Robert Mueller tomorrow, and hope his appearance before the Intelligence Committee gives the American public a better understanding of both the sweeping nature of the Russian interference in the 2016 election, and the willingness of the Trump team to accept Russia’s help and then try to cover their tracks.

“The President and his advisors operate in the narrow, ignominious space between unethical and criminal conduct - and it’s time our country hears about this behavior directly from the Special Counsel himself,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. 

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as the Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Agriculture Committees.
