Maloney Announces $1,369,666 in Grants to Hudson Valley Airports

Newburgh, NY – Today, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced that the Hudson Valley Regional Airport and Orange County Airport were each awarded a grant from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve snow removal efforts during the winter months.

“Winter may seem like a ways away, but this is exciting news for our Hudson Valley airports. These grants for new snow removal equipment and storage will help keep our Hudson Valley airports safe, boost efficiency, and ensure travelers are able to get to their destinations throughout the winter months,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.

The Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Poughkeepsie will receive $900,000 to purchase new snow removal vehicles. The Orange County Airport in Montgomery is the recipient of $469,666 to construct a building to prevent the airport’s snow removal equipment from exposure to adverse winter weather conditions.
