2020 Census: Two Months Out, Hudson Valley Census Jobs Still Available!

Newburgh, NY – In an ongoing effort to promote the upcoming United States Census, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) is urging Hudson Valley residents to be on the lookout for official 2020 Census materials and consider applying for a job with the Census Bureau in the Hudson Valley.

“The Hudson Valley depends on a fair and accurate count in the 2020 Census. This census determines the share of the federal funds we need to grow our economy, expand access to resources, and keep our schools strong. With only a few months until Census Day, I’m reminding folks to be on the lookout for 2020 Census materials and to apply for great census jobs right here in the Hudson Valley,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.

Hudson Valley households will receive their invitation to participate in the 2020 Census by April. Communities across New York will come together on April 1, 2020 to celebrate Census Day.

Many communities throughout New York’s Hudson Valley were considered “Hard to Count” regions in the 2010 Census, with several census tracts returning only half of mailed census questionnaires. This resulted in possible undercounting in the region.
