Budget & Fiscal Responsibility

We must get our fiscal house in order.  If so many New York families struggle to balance their household budgets, Congress should also live within its means and balance its budget. That’s why I crossed party lines to support No Budget, No Pay, which would make sure that Members of Congress don’t get paid till they pass a budget.

When I worked for President Clinton in the White House, we cut the deficit, grew the economy and created a budget surplus.  I will use the same approach to balance the budget the right way – not on the backs of seniors. I will work with my colleagues across the aisle to pass long term solutions to help resolve our budget crisis.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.
