File Your Taxes Online
New Yorkers have the option of e-filing their taxes for free.  The tax filing process is made easier by having online forms, the option to use direct deposit, and pay electronically.  People who e-file can get refunds in as little as 10 days compared to 8 weeks for paper filers.  To e-file click here or for those with income exceeding $57,000 click here
 
Natural Disasters
New Yorkers affected by natural disasters may be eligible for tax relief.  They may qualify for a filing extension, a waiver of fees and expedited requests of previous tax returns or disaster-related casualty loss claims.
