Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced a major investment to bring additional manufacturing jobs to Newburgh through The Solar Energy Consortium (TSEC). This Economic Development Administration (EDA) investment of $650,000 will make infrastructure improvements as well as job training for advanced manufacturing.

Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) and Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus announced that HONORehg, Inc., a not-for-profit, will receive a critical federal investment to serve homeless youth in Orange County. The $150,000 investment from Health and Human Services will allow HONOR to continue serving more than 225 children and families each year through runaway and homeless youth services.

After a strong push from Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18), Maloney joined local law enforcement to announce additional critical federal resources to Dutchess and Putnam Counties for combatting drug trafficking in the Hudson Valley. With the new designation in the NY/NJ High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA), local agencies will benefit from ongoing HIDTA initiatives to reduce drug use and allow for further coordination of drug control efforts between federal, state and local law enforcement officers. In February, Maloney urged the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, Gil Kerlikowske to designate Dutchess and Putnam counties as HIDTA, and in July, Maloney wrote in support of the HIDTA application submitted on behalf of Dutchess, Putnam and Rockland counties.
